Leading Dorset neurological physiotherapist
Gerry Harlow is a chartered neurological physiotherapist and the director of Neurotherapy Limited. He is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). This means he can work in a private practice treating adults with neurological disabilities.
Gerry is also a member of the Medicolegal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MLACP). He has experience with treating clients in both the independent, private sector and through the NHS. This experience is used in his role as an expert witness for medicolegal cases where he can offer reports for both the Claimant and for the Defence.
Other services
The practice also offers a range of treatments, some of which take place in the Poole location while others can be carried out in the patient’s home. These include neuro physiotherapy treatments to help patients recover from disease, trauma or nervous system disorders and aquatic physiotherapy to use water to help with recovery from conditions or to improve physical abilities.
There are also services for splints and orthotics available to help patients with everything from foot drop problems to ankle and knee issues. The aim of these orthotics is to provide support, improve the physical condition and create a stable base for movement to take place. As part of this service, there is also the option for Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) for foot drop to stimulate muscles and help them relearn what to do.
